D.X. Luc and Hunters of Seraphim: Jadin

Talking my pal, erotic romance author D.X. Luc, off her island of Sinful Restraints wasn't easy, but when I heard she had a new release, I pulled out all the stops!

Her sexy books have mythological based characters, and you know that's right up MY alley! I'm excited she sailed over to share a sensual morsel with us.

Please welcome D.X. Luc!!

Blurb:

In the year 4411, females dominate the world. Men are now the weaker sex and all roles have been reversed.

Angela is an accomplished defense attorney and has grown up in a world dominated by women but she craves something more. She secretly yearns for a strong dominant man…not a simpering wimp.

Nestled on an island far from the world Angela knows are a group of mighty male Hunters. They're strong, dominate and sexy and each Hunter is waiting for the goddess Seraphim to grant him his mate.

After waking from a drug induced sleep, Angela finds herself on this jungle island, playing a game of cat and mouse with Jadin... the sexiest man she's ever seen. He claims she's his, but she wants the right to choose.

Will Angela be able to give into her hearts desires or will a lifetime of embedded teachings prevent her from having the man of her dreams?

Excerpt:

“I assure you, I want nothing to do with Lydia. I’ve told her this many times and yet…she still doesn’t get it.”

“Oh, she’s got all kinds of hots for you, Jadin. Not that I blame her.” Angela
chuckled. “She threatened me not long ago. Told me that I wasn’t good enough for you. Man, is she going to give it to me for actually snagging you.”

“I’ll have a chat with Travis and Kefir. She’s starting to become an embarrassment to not only her husband, but also herself.”

Angela waved her hand. “It's really not a big deal. She's probably all talk.”

“Hardly. You don't know her. She may be cute and small, but she's by no means cuddly.”

“What do you mean she's 'cute'?” That was the only thing the woman heard? Tilting his head, he saw fire snapping in her brown eyes. “Just as I said.” Jadin gave her an innocent glance, his woman’s cheeks were red with her growing jealousy. It turned him on something fierce. He lay back against the pillows and languidly stroked his stiffening cock.

“You think Lydia is pretty?” Angela hissed.

“Of course. She's got a nice ass and perky breasts.”

Angela crawled over to here he rested, moving up his body until she straddled his hips. “Is that so? You've looked at her that much have you? Next—you'll be telling me you've seen her naked!”

“Yes. Once we bathed together in the lake.” The mischievousness in his voice was thick and Jadin knew she heard it.

“Oh, hell no! I’m the only woman you’ll see naked from now on, buddy!” She impaled her pussy onto his waiting hardness. Jadin sucked in a huge gust of air. All wet and hot, she dug her nails into his chest, riding him with abandon.

He growled, rolling her under him, matching her frantic movements with his thrusts. Her body arched, as she offered him a dusky peach nipple and he took it, suckling as she cried out his name. Her walls trembled around him, the aftershocks rippling when Angela came down from her orgasm, fueling him to go on.

Lifting his head, he stared into her brown depths. “Keep coming for me, Angela. I won’t stop until you pass out from this.” He drew back, then pounded his hips into her, causing her to scream. “That’s right, woman. Show me why you were given to me and me alone.”

Author bio:

An avid reader since I was a child, I never found a book I disliked. Mostly, you could find me lost in Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, or Ernest Hemingway, and my most favorite, Ancient Greek literature. Taking my love of books, I started writing poetry, short stories, and even helped with screen writes for my drama club.

By the time I was in my teens, my older sister introduced me to my first romance novel, The Hawk and the Dove by Virginia Henley. The moment I fell into the world of love, I was hooked, and my addiction for more grew until I found myself delving deeper into the erotic.

After being convinced I had the skills to try my hand at writing, I went to work on my first story Down the Yellow Brick Road: Finding Home. And since being published, I've not looked back.

Now, as a busy mom of three that homeschools, drives to activities, and manages to find time to just take a breath, I have to say, I love being naughty when I get the chance. It's freeing and I wouldn't want it any other way!

The Moon Kissed Chi book tour

            Title: The Moon Kissed Chi
            Author: Grinelda Markowitz
            Publisher: Amazon Digital Services
            Length: 120 pages

            Sub-Genres: Erotica

Blurb:

In the city of Kalaydan, Arrinay and Bezhyanya, the senior members of the ruling family, are faced with the early maturation of their daughter, Gayadnae. She must start the training. It’s Kalaydan law. Their daughter has other ideas.

After concocting a plan to avoid responsibility and almost succeeding in carrying it out, Gayadnae’s life takes an unexpected turn. Grayt, the ever-present serving woman to Arrinay, fills many roles and has her fingers in a number of pies. There’s definitely more to her than is apparent on the surface.

Along with coordinating activities in the Main House, keeping the young mistress in line, and talking to horses, Grayt has a more secret agenda with a graver responsibilities.

A hint of trouble on the horizon and other darker activities weave their way through the backdrop of this delightful tale which takes place in the city of Kalaydan.

Excerpt:

Grayt dashed up the stairs lightly. Running quietly down the dark corridor, she came to the entrance of the receiving room of Arrinay and her family and entered the spacious chamber. The sound of amorous activity issued from the curtained room ahead. She walked instead into the room on the right. The curtains billowed violently, though without sound, into the room in which she stood.  An intense, blue glow radiated from beyond the curtain.

It’s happening again. I don’t know how much more she can take.

Grayt stepped behind the curtain into the violence of the churning Gaichi energies and was nearly pulled from her feet.  Moving further into the room, she tripped on a couple of clothing items littering the floor and nearly fell. The young woman on the bed writhed and contorted in her sleep as the powerful energies circulated through her and around her.  The room stank of perspiration and clothing in need of laundering.

Grayt gripped the crystal which hung about her neck and closed her eyes.  Soon an angry, fire-red energy flared from between her tightly closed fingers.  The light continued to intensify, swirling within the blue energies, only to disappear.  She stretched her arms out to either side and began to turn widdershins.  Her turning quickened and soon became spinning.  She blurred like the turning of a child’s spindle.

The Gaichi followed her into the maelstrom she had created and engulfed her.  Seeming at first to consume the small woman, they were soon absorbed by the red force which had seeped out and wrapped around  both her and the Gaichi.  She was embraced by her own fire-red energy.  As the red force wrapped more tightly around her, Grayt absorbed the Gaichi energies and her crystal reabsorbed her own fire-red energy.  The room became dark as pitch.

Friday Flames welcomes Brenda Dyer

I admit - I'm a HUGE fan of paranormal romance author Brenda Dyer. Over the weekend I had the opportunity to read her latest release.

All I can say is WOW. My review that'll soon go up on Amazon gives Brenda's book a FIVE STAR rating!

Here's the blurb on Prophecy's Child:

His secret will shatter her world.

Katherine Colby’s life splintered ten years ago when her lover suddenly vanished, leaving her with more than a broken heart. But when Kal unexpectedly makes an appearance, her safe, dependable existence is shattered once more. Drawn into Kal’s deadly world of vampires and demons, she must now put aside her hurt and anger and learn to trust him. Can she forgive past deceptions and find the courage to love again? Or will she turn away the one man who owns her heart and soul?

Her secret will change his life.

Powerful, and lethal, Kal is a vampire warrior, sworn to protect humans from demons. Loving Katherine too much to pull her into his dangerous world, Kal deserted her, believing his decision was best for them both. But not even time could assuage his yearning for the woman who has captured his heart. As fate tosses them together once again, Kal must fight to win Katherine’s trust and forgiveness before evil separates them forever. But is he ready to become the man she needs him to be? Or will he lose the one woman he can’t live without?

Sounds interesting, huh??

Excerpt:

Kal rubbed her shoulders. “Take off your shirt. I need to see you.”

Nervousness put a damper on Katherine’s arousal. Although she’d been lucky enough to escape pregnancy without stretch marks, her body had changed. Her breasts were larger and her hips had a more mature roundness to them. Would he still find her attractive?

“Kat?”

Only one way to find out. She grasped the bottom of her green cotton shirt and pulled it over her head. Thank God she wore her red satin bra and matching panties.

He inhaled, and his eyes darkened. “Now your bra.”

With trembling fingers, she unsnapped her bra. As her breasts sprang free, her nipples puckered. The flimsy garment slid down her arms, to the floor.

“Sweet Jesus. You’re stunning.” Kal bent and tongued one of her stiff peaks. The light touch traveled straight to her slick sex. He sucked one nipple into his warm mouth. The sensation sent a rush of moisture to dampen her panties.

She gripped his hair, holding herself steady and trapping him where she needed him. “Kal…yes…that feels so good.”

“You taste so goddamn delicious,” he growled against her skin before kissing his way across her chest.

His soft lips and the scrape of stubble on his jaw created an agonizing ache between her legs. If this kept up, he’d bring her to orgasm before they hit the bed.

Her other nipple strained for his attention. His mouth closed over it, drawing the tight nub deep. A delighted gasp escaped her as his tongue flicked the peak back and forth.

With both hands, Kal pushed her breasts together and continued to suckle.

Katherine closed her eyes. Her world centered on the wet tugging motion. God, she was so hot. This sweet torture would surely be the death of her.

Releasing her breasts, he then smoothed his hands over her butt, pulling their lower bodies together. “Now your pants.”

She stepped back and undid the button on her jeans. His wild stare lent her courage. The zipper came next. She shoved the soft denim down her legs.

Pure male desire gleamed from his eyes. “You’re more beautiful than I remembered.”

Applause!

Oh yeah...now that's what I'm talking about!

My favorite genre - ROMANCE!

What is it that keeps us coming back for more love, more action, more fantasy and sex? For me, it might be the need to escape my everyday world and gallop through the woods with shapeshifting Centaurs.

Remedy Maker
Man by day, Centaur by night, Rhycious is a remedy maker who needs his own healing.

He's the royal physician, famous for his cures. War and posttraumatic stress disorder has broken his spirit, preventing him from finding true happiness. Then a direct order from the queen to investigate an uprising forces him out of his secluded cabin at the edge of the forest.

Patience is an optimistic, good-natured Wood Nymph who works as a mediator to ensure harmony within the Nymph sector.

Environmental pollution in the aquifer stream that feeds the taproot tree of her heart is slowly killing her. Resigned to the fact she will not live long, she sets out to discover the mysterious disappearance of her sister. Experience has taught her to deny herself the love of a male, but the gruff Centaur is different. He doesn't push his expectations on her, only his healing nature.

When Rhycious loses his grip on reality, he believes his inability to control his disorder will drive Patience away. Nevertheless, desire flares, and Patience draws him close. Kidnapping and betrayal turn their mythic joint venture into a deadly bout.

Will their love endure when survival hinges on trusting each other?

Troll-y Yours
SHE TAKES A CHANCE.

Determined to forge a better life, Ella launches her new business with high hopes—until a sexy Centaur bumps into her and throws her life off course. Voted “Most Eligible Bachelor in Boronda”, Aleksander shakes up her world and tilts her in more ways than one.

HE’S IN DANGEROUS TERRITORY.

Years of warfare and countless bedroom encounters have stolen Kempor Aleksander’s luster for life. He never expects to rediscover his zeal in the small, redheaded form of Ella the Troll, who fires his blood hotter than the deepest caverns in the forest.

A PASSION SO HOT.

But as trouble lingers in their midst—and edges ever closer—Alek and Ella spiral into troubled terrain. Turning to each other, the pair face down dangers that run impenetrably deep in their mythological world. But will the two lovers discover a passion that runs even deeper?

Meet Pennelope:

In my latest novel release (oooh, love that word!), I have a certain Troll who makes life agonizingly rough for everyone. She’s hard to hate—you want to love her—but her webs of deception weave tragic results.

Excerpt:

From his vantage point on the hillside above the family nest, Eli propped a heel behind him and leaned back. The rock digging into his butt was hard and unforgiving; it matched the disposition of the older female Troll beside him.

Her slender white neck curved as she used the glowing cherry of her herbal smoke to draw tracers in the dark around the Centaur guard in the distance. “Who’s that with Kempor Aleksander?”

“My sister, Ella.”

“Why is she with him?”

“Good question.” Eli stared with gritted teeth through the cover of trees at the embracing couple. “She’s making a huge mistake.”

“How long have they been dating?” Elegant fingers brought the cigarette to her lips, and she pulled a slow drag. Multiple bracelets slid down her arm and jangled softly together.

“I think they just met. Ella opened the new speed-dating service, and the Kempor was in it tonight—like he of all mythics would need it.”

“Hmm, interesting.” Smoke blew in an easy stream from her pursed lips, catching the cool night breeze that, in turn, drifted across his face.

Protected under the trees from the drizzle, they watched the playboy hit on his sister. Ella didn’t seem to mind.

Upwind, the entwined couple had no idea their actions were observed.

“Is it true he avoids relationships like he would the trots?” Eli asked.

Two fingers held the hand rolled cigarette, as her lips tightened around it. She drew on the end, let the smoke linger in her mouth a moment, then inhaled. Air currents caressed the cigarette’s tip and caused the ember to glow between drags. “In all the years I’ve known him, he only had one serious affair. And that one dumped him for something better.”

Eli pushed away from the boulder, away from scents of burning clove, and peered down at his family’s rock. His mother stood out front, shouting for Ella. Gods, how embarrassing. Glancing up the opposite hillside, he saw Kempor Aleksander drop his cupped hands from Ella’s face.

Soft footsteps drew next to Eli. His companion’s fingernails lightly scratched his back, bangles dancing musically. “Don’t worry about her. If there’s one thing I know, Aleksander won’t stick around for long.” The hair at his collar received the same massage treatment. “Come over here, Eli. I want to talk business before I leave.”

He followed his contact back to the rock and watched her fluff out the skirt beneath a belt that defined her small waist. He crossed his arms, widened his stance, then waited for her to continue.

“There’s chatter in Boronda of rebel movement. Heard any of it?”

“The Minotaur I befriended hinted a few things tonight. He would’ve said more if things hadn’t gone south.”

Bracelets sliding in a musical clatter, she clamped the short smoke between her lips. Her hands became busy, pulling a small silver case from the voluminous folds of her skirt, and she spoke around the cigarette, “What happened?”

“Phranq took an interest in Ella at the café. When we left, he bull-handled her and the Kempor took exception to that. We had to leave before they got into it.”

“Damn.”

Her pointed Troll ears twitched with the sounds of the night. Nobody knew how old his contact was, but Eli guessed at least three centuries. If she were older than that, she held her age well.

He waited while she removed a fresh cigarette.

She lit the end with the red tip of the old, and tossed the used butt into a puddle. Taking a drag, she turned to him and asked, “Carryyn couldn’t distract Alek?”

“No. He didn’t want anything to do with her.” Hell, Eli couldn’t blame the man. Even hard up, few would get it on with a Minotaur—not to say he hadn’t before.

Movement in the shadows across the stream caught his sharp Troll eyes. The Kempor watched Ella make her way down the foot trail until she dissolved beneath their granite rock. What in the hell did she have in those bags she carried everywhere?

Between the trees in the dim moonlight, the guard weaved his way along the trail, headed toward the palace. His huge muscular torso twisted between the towering elms, making room for the breadth of his shoulders to pass, before his hind end disappeared from view.

Standing next to Eli, his underground contact stared at the black space where the Kempor had stood moments before. The cigarette between her fingers, seemingly forgotten, the dangling ash long. Wisps of reddish hair framed her oval face. Her inscrutable expression was unnerving.

Eli touched her shoulder. “Are you alright?”

A melancholy frown flitted across her features. Then, she smiled, smoothly betraying nothing of her inner thoughts. “I’ll meet you again, in two days at the regular appointed time.”

He nodded and leaned back on the rock. “May I have your name? Something to call you by?”

She lifted her hand to tousle her damp curls, and another flutter of bouncing bracelets erupted. “Yes, now that I know you’re trustworthy. Call me…Pennelope.”

“Be careful out there, Pennelope.”

She rewarded him with a slow, secret smile. One, he wouldn’t claim to understand.

“I always am.”

Please welcome James DiBenedetto to The Flames!

Excerpt (from “Dream Family”):

I’m standing completely still and he reaches down, puts his hands on my waist, takes hold of my panties.  He stays like that for a moment, watching me for a reaction.  I smile, and I say just one word: “Please.”  His hands are welcome there – he can touch me anyplace, anytime.  He pulls my panties down, and they fall around my ankles.  I step out of them, and I’m naked.  Completely exposed.  Exactly the way I want - need - to be.

I do the same for him.  I do it so slowly, stretching it out, the same way I always linger over unwrapping the last present under the Christmas tree.  First his shirt, one button at a time, pausing after each one, kissing every inch of his chest as it’s uncovered.  Then his pants; I carefully, deliberately unbuckle his belt, unbutton them at the waist, and with a hand that’s not trembling at all, I pull down the zipper.  He lets the pants fall down, and I turn my attention to his boxers.  I tug them down, a bit at a time, until, finally, all is revealed.
Now he’s naked and exposed, and he takes one step back.  We stand there, maybe two feet apart, and for – I don’t know how long – we just look at each other, up and down, as though it’s the first time we’ve ever seen each other this way.

Everything about him is beautiful, from those browny-brown eyes, to his smiling mouth and strong chin, to those wonderful new muscles he’s been working on, to – to everything, all the way down.  I could look at him like this forever.

I go back up, taking all the time in the world, inch by inch, drinking in every detail, until I’m staring into his eyes, lost in them.  No, not lost.  I see myself reflected in them.  And in that reflection, I see all the beauty he sees in me.  He’s always seen that, and I know he always will.

We reach out to each other, and a moment later we’re on the bed, our hands all over each other – but, again, moving slowly, gently, teasingly.  We’re exploring every inch of each other.  Just like the way he undressed me, this is how it was that first night - except his hands are sure instead of tentative, and I know the body I’m exploring every bit as well as my own.

Back then, that first time, and in the first few months afterwards, we were still learning each other.  I had to watch his eyes to know when he was losing himself, when conscious thought disappeared and unconscious desire was all that remained.  But now I can sense it as easily as I can feel it in myself.  I can take him to the very edge of that moment, and then bring him back.  A hand caressing his thigh, a kiss on his chin, a whisper in his ear; I know exactly how to touch him.

And – God, the way his hands, his lips, feel on my skin! – he knows my body just as well.  He can – he is! - doing the same to me.

We take each other back and forth, over and over, dancing right up to that point and pulling back, until every nerve in both our bodies is screaming.  I don’t know how long we go on like that, before we look into each other’s eyes and we both know the moment has arrived.

He rolls onto his back, and I’m on top of him.  He doesn’t flinch at my weight pressing down on him; neither of us have any attention or thought to spare as we go over the edge together.

After that there’s only sensation, only pleasure, his and mine, and a shout from my throat – no, from the very core of me - that rattles the windows and echoes through the bedroom as we completely lose ourselves in each other…
